If you don't have a username or password
First things first:
- If you have a username and password for any other CRCTU online system (e.g. any other trials system, or CAS-FT), try it on this site.
What to do:
- Get in touch with your contact in the CRCTU trials team
- Tell them that you don't have (or don't think you have) a username and password for accessing this site
- Tell them why you need one
- Give them an email address that you don't share with anyone else
What will happen next:
- Your contact will check, set up a username if necessary, and let you know what it is.
- You set up your own password:
- Return to this site, and log in with your username and password

If you've forgotten your password (but you know your username)
First things first:
- Remember that passwords are case-sensitive. Is CAPS-LOCK switched on?
What to do:
- Reset your password:
- Return to this site, and log in with your username and new password

If you make too many login attempts and get locked out
First things first:
- If you make six failed login attempts within a short period of time, your account will be locked for a short period. This is to help prevent "brute force" attacks on the site (in which the attacker programs a computer to try many different username/password combinations in the hope of guessing one that works).
- Account locking is not the same as account disabling.
What to do:
- Wait for around 15 minutes, after which your account will be unlocked again.
- Then try logging in again.
Alternatively, if you can't wait:
- Reset your password:
- Return to this site, and log in with your username and new password

If your account has been disabled
First things first:
- CRCTU staff can disable an account if they suspect misuse or believe that the account is no longer being used. Account disabling is not the same as account locking.
What to do:
- Get in touch with your contact in the CRCTU trials team
- Tell them that your account for accessing this site is disabled
- Tell them why you need access
- Tell them your name and username
What will happen next:
- Your contact will check your record, and if appropriate they will re-enable the account
- Then you can return to this site, and log in with your username and password

If you're not registered or permitted to use this site
First things first:
- We can configure your account to be used on all our CRCTU online systems – including CAS-FT and various trials systems.
- We do this on an system-by-system basis. For example, if you're already using your account regularly to access a trial system, and you find you need access to CAS-FT, then we can extend your account's remit to include CAS-FT.
What to do:
- Get in touch with your contact in the CRCTU trials team
- Tell them that your account doesn't allow access to this site
- Tell them why you need access
- Tell them your name and username
What will happen next:
- Your contact will check your record, and if appropriate they will register your account, assign appropriate permissions, and let you know.
- Then you can return to this site, and log in with your username and password
